Pressure Wash Cedar Shake Roof
The other downfall with simply using water is it does not kill the organism living on the roof.
Pressure wash cedar shake roof. Use a weak stream of water or a soft bristle brush to apply the mixture and then rinse away with water from a hose. When your cedar roof needs cleaning simply mix together water and either chlorine or oxygen bleach. Clean cedar with a scrub brush and hose off or use pressure washer to rinse surface clean. Algae and mold will cause deterioration and discoloration to your cedar siding.

Slate shingles are a beautiful material for roofing but are delicate and costly to replace. Much like a wooden deck you can use detergents and a pressure washer to blast the grime away and reveal the beautiful cedar color within.
Once dry seal the newly cleaned surface with wash safe cedar seal to keep surface protected. Start with a small amount of chlorine and add to the mixture as needed until your roof is clean. Unlike aging cigars in a cedar box aging cedar siding on your home may require the occasional pressure washing.
